Lukas’ Personal Blog
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!
This is a space where I share thoughts, insights, and experiments related to programming, tensor networks, symmetries, or anything I learned and wanted to share.
If you find something interesting, or have any thoughts, comments and improvements on my musings, don’t hesitate to reach out!
In any case, I hope you’ll find something interesting or useful here.
About Me
I’m Lukas Devos, a Software Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Quantum Physics at the Flatiron Institute.
My current work mostly focuses on tensor network methods for quantum many-body systems, typically through open-source Julia tools and packages.
I have a background in physics, and I finished my Ph.D at Ghent University on “Symmetric Tensor Network Methods”.
I also have a passion for open-source software, especially in science.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, running and playing the piano.
While I like to cook myself, I like it even better if I get to go out and enjoy the skills of better chefs.
This blog is partly a digital notebook and partly a way to connect with others that may either help me figure out better solutions for my projects, or share my solutions for your projects.
Feel free to reach out if something resonates with you.
What You’ll Find Here
Most likely many of the themes I’ll be writing about will fall in one of the following categories:
- Tensor Network algorithms
- Symmetric Tensors and how to use them
- Julia internals
- High-Performance Computing
